Good Afternoon -
I'm excited about our season starting tomorrow (8/15)!
Thank you all for allowing me to take this last week off for our family vacation before Luke and Maggie head back to school and Emma starts her new job as a classroom teacher at Eberwhite Elementary!
Please meet at Pioneer's Hill pool at 5:45 pm for our first team meeting and practice. Please use the "Pool Door" which is a purple outside door located near the tennis courts, just past and a bit right of the big black gate that controls the service drive to the back of the school. We will practice until 7:45 pm and then we will need to get the pool ready for the Women's Swim Team. A good pickup time is 8:15 (depending on how long your player showers).
Practice Times This Week:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 5:45-7:45pm
Friday, Saturday - Varsity Tournament in Grand Haven
Friday, Saturday - JV - Off
Sunday - Off (JV and Varsity)
Parent Meeting is Tuesday @ 7 pm in Pioneer's Annex. Please use the clock tower entrance off Stadium Blvd. The Annex is across the hall from the clock tower entrance.
You can find our full schedule of practices and games at PHSPOLO.com. Hit subscribe to get all the calendar updates as they happen.
If you still need to register with the Athletic Department, please do so ASAP! Players can come to practice and watch but cannot participate until fully registered. If you are waiting on a physical from your doctor, it's possible to get a physical faster by going to urgent care. Just call ahead to make sure they do athletic physicals.
I've attached the schedule for our first Varsity tournament in Grand Haven. We will need parents to help drive athletes. More on that to follow.
Players (and parents). Mark your calendar for Sunday, August 28th. We will do a TEAM SEAT CUSHION install at the UofM Stadium! If you don't know what this is all about, Pioneer's Athletic Boost Club has the responsibility of installing and auditing seat cushions for the UofM Football Stadium. Each worker we supply we earn money for our team. Last year the Booster and Individual teams earned appox. $50,000. Working a shift is a great way to help our team and the Pioneer Booster Club! Plus. . . you get to be in the Big Hourse! The signup hasn't been released yet and I don't have the times of our 3-hour shift but wanted to get it on your radar! I'll forward information when it becomes available.
Thank you in advance for all your hard work this season. It's going to be a great year and we are going to learn a lot!
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
PS If you want me to add others to this email list, or want to be removed, please let me know.
