Dear Water Polo Community,
This week is dead week - no practice during the week. There is a pool clean up that will be organized this Saturday - more details will be sent out by the captains through the group chat.
Next week - practices will be late in the day due to the overlap with the Men's Swim and Dive team practices and Synchronized Swimming - expect the schedule for 7:00-9:00pm evening practices (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), Friday 4:00-6:00pm, no weekday morning practices and Saturday from 8:00-10:00am.
The big fundraising event for next week is the Spring Milk Drive at Busch's Green Street Store - this will be the first year the Women's Water Polo will be participating. The swimmers on the team have participated in the fall and hopefully can help lend their experience to make this a fun and fruitful fundraiser for the team.
The sign up genius will follow in a separate email - but I am attaching the excel sheet with the schedule the team chose in order to avoid conflict with the Early Bird Tournament. The first shifts start this Monday and will be 4-7pm during the week and there will be two shifts during the day on Saturday and Sunday. A minimum of one person is required per shift and no more than 2. Please have your athletes check their schedule and decide which shift they can cover. The team will receive $1500 for this drive and compete for an additional $500 if they are the leading area store for donations. All 10 shifts must be covered by the athletes in order to receive the stipend. There are 20 spots to fill. Instructions for the Milk drive are also attached.
Please advertise on your social network to help drive traffic to the store and increase the chance of milk and/or monetary donations.
If you have not filled out the player registration form and handed in your fee - please see the attached form - you can get this to one of the captains or scan the filled out form and send back to this email.
Have a good week and Go Pio!
